Union Home Mortgage Foundation Announces Increased Partnership with Habitat for Humanity of Summit County in Q1 2022

In an ongoing effort to support and improve local communities, the Union Home Mortgage Foundation is giving back by increasing their support to Habitat for Humanity of Summit County with a $10,000 grant to their new home construction program.

Akron, OH – April 15, 2022 – In an ongoing effort to support and improve local communities, the Union Home Mortgage Foundation is giving back by donating $10,000 to Habitat for Humanity of Summit County.

Habitat for Humanity of Summit County, a nonprofit housing ministry operating in Summit County, Ohio, works in partnership with people in need to improve the condition in which they live. Habitat for Humanity of Summit County builds between 10 to 12 new homes annually through its New Home Construction Program and has built more than 218 homes in the area since beginning operations in 1986. Between its new-home builds and home repair services, the organization creates housing opportunities for 45 low- to moderate-income families each year.

“This gift from Union Home Mortgage represents another step in the direction of homeownership for a family in our Habitat program. Gifts like this, combined with gifts from others, make homeownership affordable and attainable for families in our community,” said Rochelle Sibbio, CEO of Habitat for Humanity of Summit County.
