February 2022 MVP, Colin Hendrickson

1/31/2022

This month's Most Valuable Partner is Colin Hendrickson, a Senior Mortgage Processor and Subject Matter Expert at Union Home Mortgage.

The Union Home Mortgage Foundation would not be where we are today without the support of our amazing Union Home Mortgage Partners! Each month, we are highlighting some outstanding partners and this month's Most Valuable Partner is Colin Hendrickson!

Colin has been with Union Home Mortgage for almost 2 years and is currently a Senior Mortgage Processor and Subject Matter Expert, meaning he supports our loan officer partners to ensure that their loan files move efficiently through the process and support our operations partners work through various scenarios and issues that they may not feel comfortably with working through alone. He was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio and currently resides in North Royalton, Ohio. When he isn't at work, he enjoys spending time on, in, and near the water, especially when boating or kayaking is involved. Colin also enjoys spending time exploring Cleveland breweries, wineries, and various speakeasies (if you know where to find them!).

Q: Why do you support the UHM Foundation?

A: "I support the UHM foundation because I believe that the four pillars that the UHM Foundation stands for aren’t just something that they talk about—they are something that the Foundation, and UHM actually want to work on in our communities. The Foundation is one of the many reasons why I enjoy coming to work at Union Home Mortgage every day!"

Q: How do you support the UHM Foundation?

A: "Some of the various ways that I support the Foundation are through UHMF’s payroll deduction program, and through volunteering throughout the community, especially through teaching some courses through the uLaunch platform."

Q: What is your favorite memory of the UHM Foundation?

A: "My favorite memories of being involved in the Foundation actually include presenting our uLaunch courses. Some of the topics that I have taught so far include Financial Literacy, Important of Mentorship, and Tips for Public Speaking. I am also looking forward to the Union Home Mortgage Foundation Gala this year."

Q: What else are you involved in in your community?

A: "Besides being involved in the Foundation, I also sit on the Young Professional’s Board at a local non profit in the Cleveland area, that also happens to partner with the UHM Foundation---Towards Employment. They are a group that works with individuals throughout the Northeast Ohio area and assists them with workforce development. They prepare folks for meaningful careers in their community through providing pre-employment training and connecting them to companies in the area. Feel free to check them out at https://www.towardsemployment.org/"

Thank you, Colin, for all the wonderful ways you support the Union Home Mortgage Foundation and causes in your community!
